  • 10-12-2024: Chi gave a talk about the lab's recent research on the common sun skinks at the Taiwan Herpetology Symposium.
  • 08-13-2024: Our paper on the correlation between exploration, dietary choosiness, and avoidance learning style in the common sun skink is published in Behavioral Ecology!
  • 06-29-2024: Chi shared the lab's recent research on the correlation between exploration, dietary choosiness, and avoidance learning style in the common sun skink at the 2024 Animal Behavior Society Meeting. The slides are available here
  • 06-29-2024: Chi received three-year funding from NSTC to investigate how chemical defense and visual properties of warning signals determine long-term dominance hierarchy among Müllerian mimetic butterflies!
  • 05-28-2024: Chi contributed to a paper on selection driving the divergence of eye morphology in a pair of Heliconius butterflies, now published in Evolution!
  • 05-08-2024: Ai-Ching got a summer internship to work with Dr. Hsi-Cheng Ho at IEEB, NTU. Congrats!
  • 03-22-2024: The paper "Adaptive introgression of a visual preference gene", which Chi contributed as a co-author, is now published in Science!
  • 03-15-2024: Several of our team members will become Master's students in the fall! Ching-Ning and Hui-Chi will join the Institute of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and the Institute of Entomology at NTU. Yu-Zhe will join the Institue of Biomedical Engineering at NYCU. Congrats and well done!
  • 01-25-2024: Chi shared the lab's ongoing research on level of defense and dominance hierarchy among Müllerian comimetic butterflies at the Conference of Animal Behavior & Ecology. The presentation is available here
  • 01-19-2024: Our JEB paper on how wing patterns affect male and female mating behaviors in Heliconius cydno is now published online!
